Wonderful Weekend

I hope you had a great weekend! I did. I am in Michigan, visiting my parents. I had a workshop Saturday morning that was lots of fun! Today I saw my brother playing hockey, which was pretty cool! The baby had some trouble going down for a nap today. At one point he was so tired that as he was walking around the living room hardly able to stand up! He would take a few steps and then fall over onto the carpet. I hate to say it, but Mom and I were cracking up. I finally got him down around 3pm. Here's a pic of the cutie pie about to explore Grandma and Grandpa's living room.

Here is a card I did last week for a fun inspiration challenge on SCS last week. I suppose it is a pretty limited card, with this sentiment (it better go to my husband, right?!) but it is cute!!!

I am hoping to get a little more sleep tonight. Mainly, the baby has been doing GREAT with his new sleep habits, but last night was BAD. I'll just leave it at that. I'm tired, and will hope for some good zzzz's tonight. I hope the same to you!!!

Yeah, Baby!

Update: Baby has gone to sleep two nights in a row now with almost NO crying! Wahoo! And last night, he slept all night, with no waking or crying. Wahoo!

Here is a Unity card I made a few days ago and just sent off to someone special. I watercolored the images, and added some bling to the ribbon know. What fun! I will have to get some more of that giant gingham ribbon--I love how it looks!

I just started a new round of secret sisters on Splitcoast, and I got an email from my "Big Sis" today. Listen to this great quote she gave me: "Those proud of keeping an orderly desk will never know the thrill of finding something they thought they had irretrievably lost." What an awesome way to think of my mess! That and a messy desk is a sign of genius! Well I am definitely a genius and find things ALL the time when I thought I'd lost them! :-)

Hope you are enjoying your Labor Day weekend. Take care, and--

Silhouettes and Stitching

Good morning, friends! 10:30am is a MUCH better time to be awake posting on my blog. I am getting so spoiled having dh home to let me sleep in every other day. Too bad he'll be back in school in a few weeks, and I'll be getting up early every day! Oh well, I'll enjoy the sleep until then. The baby is being super cute right now--just looking at me, saying "da-da-da-da" and showing of his little front teeth. Yesterday he sat at the table (in a booster) with us for Sunday dinner at a friend's house. See? He even ate some mashed potatoes and peas, although I think the puppy got some of those as well.

I have two more Dare to be Dirty challenges to share with you. I got TONS of stamping done yesterday because of these challenges! The first one was silhouette stamping, and I can't believe I didn't add any bling. This has to be the simplest card I've made in a LONG time.

This next one was a stitching challenge, and I must say that I really enjoy using my sewing machine on a card! It makes such a fun look! This one has a fun pop of color on the inside, because I used a double sided printed paper with polka dots on one side and bright orange on the other, as my card base!

Check back again tomorrow, as I still have a stockpile of challenges to share with you! Meanwhile, happy stamping!

Pun Fun is so much Fun!!

Okay, so I've been playing with my new set, Pun Fun, and I have to say.... I LOVE IT! I actually didn't even know I needed it, until I saw what Michele Force was doing with it over on her blog, The Stamp Link. I love the cards she did, and ended up getting the set. It is so much fun to watercolor with! Here are the four cards I came up with this weekend:

On the first one, I used a strip of patterned paper, and these colors: Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi. I used my Watercolor Wonder crayons and my aquapainter to color in the image. The corners are using the ticket punch and blue brads. I popped up the image on Stampin' Dimensionals and tied some of our striped grosgrain. So cute!

The second one is basically a copy of the first, just using different colors and the little sheep!

The third card is using the rocket ship, which I LOVE! I tried this double pocket fold card finally. It is the coolest to showcase both sides of our double sided paper! There is a great tutorial for this double pocket card at Judy's blog.

Again, this card is basically a copy of the previous one, just different colors and stamp. I LOVE this set! I think I'm going to design a class around it for my stampers...

Today's another beautiful day! We saw the movie "Juno" last night and loved it. The music from it is fantastic, so we went out and got the soundtrack. Fabulous, fun music!!!

Have a great day!
