In case you were wondering, this is what nearly $200 worth of graduate school textbooks looks like. Funny thing is (not really) the one on the right is paper back. No kidding! They look really thrilling, don't they? Man, when I think about the amount of fabulous stamping stuff I could get for $200! But, since dh HAS to get his Master's in order to stay a teacher, I guess it is money well spent. Ha!

Remember I was telling you yesterday about the Unity swap I participated in a few weeks ago? Well here is one of the awesome cards I got back in the swap. This is from a super talented gal, Kristine Bents, who is also one of the artists for Unity's stamps. I don't know which stamps she is responsible for, but I know she is talented!

Saturday Swap

Good morning!

I participated in a Unity card swap a few weeks ago, that Jennifer Buck was kind enough to hostess! Now that the swaps have been returned, I can share with you mine! Here it is:


I actually used Orchid Opulence, which I'm pretty certain I have NEVER used. But it was the purple that matched the striped paper best! I tried it with just brown, but something was missing. Lookie! I also used the sewing machine around the edges--how fun!!! You probably can't tell, but I put jewels in for the eyes . . . kind of glow in the dark looking!

I am actually in the process of hostessing another Unity swap. I have two groups of 9 gals swapping, and I have almost all of the swaps here--they are fabulous!!! I can't wait to share pictures of them with you. I love swapping, to see what kinds of creative ideas others come up. It is so interesting to see what other people do. These girls are so talented! Check back in the next couple of weeks to see them. (I will wait until they've gotten all their swaps back first, so everyone will be surprised to see what they are getting!)
